If you want to play a game like Angry Birds, there’s no reason that it needs to have access to your contacts, and a weather app probably doesn’t need to be able to send email on your behalf. The security risks in apps go beyond permissions, though.
What do you think about the privacy problem of mobile apps? -

yes it is a big problem, I look forword to ubuntu touch, where you can choose, wich rights an app should have and which not.

yes,it is a serious problem on Android OS. We don't have such problem at Symbian age. Though smart phone bring us a lot of convenience, such issue should be solved as soon as possible.

I agree with that smart phones bring us a lot of convenience. Many people rely on smart phones much nowadays.So the mobile OS should be safe enough. And everyone should pay more attention to such issue.

Hi,
i usally dont use any Apps for my Smarphone, the Permission that required of some apps are really strange.
But there should be some ways ( maybe with root ) to block the Permissions of the Apps.
I coding Android-Games by myself, Its not necessary that my Game need more then:
Vibration-Control
Display Hibernation
USB Access ( Savegames )
maybe Internet-Connection for Updates makes senses,but In my opinion no need for reading Contacts / Phone Identity / GPS...
Every App with to much Permission i simply not use... -

I think it will be better if the risks of security could be solved .Then we have more Apps to choose.
If every Apps provider acts like you ,it will be nice .However ,many do not. -
